*SOLD OUT* Late Summer Farm Kitchen - a Flavours of Plenty Festival event
A unique farm-to-table experience celebrating the joy of cooking, sharing, and savouring local produce. Set on a beautiful family farm with expansive gardens and a hand-built barn, this long summer lunch is part workshop, part cooking class, and part indulgent feast. Guests will enjoy a hands-on experience before sitting down to a long, leisurely lunch built around the best seasonal produce the farm has to offer. Whether a seasoned cook or a beginner, there’s the option to get involved or simply relax with a glass of wine and soak up the rural charm while enjoying great food, local wines, and warm hospitality.
What to expect:
- Start the day with a signature cocktail made using local Blue Duck Rare Vodka.
- Learn the art of sourdough bread-making with Manawahe baker Maurice Lees (Bread Asylum) and artisan baker Laurent Eudes. Take home your own starter and freshly baked loaf.
- Create your own jar of the farm’s famous tomato chilli jam. Follow a live demo, receive the recipe, and take home your homemade jar.
- Sit down to a leisurely feast featuring perfectly cooked NZ lamb, fresh from the farm’s paddocks, paired with seasonal farm-grown fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Enjoy complimentary local Herringbone wines or Mata beer.
- End the meal with homemade limoncello and seasonal desserts like tiramisu, peppermint slice, and limoncello sorbet.
Come hungry, leave inspired.
