Join us for a special artist and curator talk held in conjunction with our current suite of exhibitions: Toka Tū, Kawe Mate, and E hoki mai nei ki te ūkaipō | Return to Your Place of Nourishment.

This kōrero offers an opportunity to hear directly from the artists and guest curators as they discuss the powerful themes woven throughout the exhibitions—including resilience, remembrance, and the enduring role of toi in shaping and sustaining Māori identity. They will share insights into their creative processes, the stories behind their works, and the journey these exhibitions have taken from their first iterations to this new chapter in Whakatāne.
