Murupara Maara - Te Kōputu Turns 10
Too late, you missed it
The concept of ‘Food Security’ will take centre stage on Friday 27th May at Te Kōputu a te whanga a Toi.
Murupara Maara is a collaboration between Te Ika Whenua Hauora, Kai Rotorua, Toi Oho Mai, Toi Te Ora and the Whakatāne District Council (NZLPP) Whakatāne Libraries.
The project was born out of kai security for whānau in Murupara around COVID-19 lockdowns with a strong focus around the kūmara.
Members of the Murupara Maara group will talk about their journey with home gardens and planting of kūmara.
