Mahi Kai Fishing Competition

The Mahi Kai team has organized a fishing competition scheduled for September 16, 2023.

This event revolves around the rangatahi in Whakatāne and its surroundings, providing them with an opportunity to interact with other children, have a voice, be heard, and, above all, have an enjoyable time while creating new memories. Additionally, it serves as a chance for the community to come together. The day will feature a sausage sizzle, various activities, and lots of spot prizes.

Participation in this event requires a $10 entry fee per person. All proceedings will go towards the Mahi Kai action Youth Programme. They are fortunate to have received substantial support from local businesses throughout Whakatane, who are endorsing the event and providing spot prizes.
