Conservation Week Photo Competition

DOC have Teamed up with Lazer Photos and cameras Whakatane this Conservation Week

“Zoom in” on what has been in front of you the whole time.

“Nature through new eyes” Is the theme this year for Conservation Week. It is centred around the wellbeing of both nature and ourselves. Papatūānuku’s wellbeing is our wellbeing.

Make the connection to Te Taiao and what make’s our part of the Bay so special. Try your luck in trying to snap a Tui in your backyard or head out into the ngahere/forest to snap a pic of your favourite tree. Go Wild!

Prize categories

• Flora - Plants 1 winner will get their photo printed and framed on an A3 photo collage print
• Fauna -Animals. 1 winner will get their photo printed and framed on an A3 photo collage print
• Landscape. 1 winner will get their photo printed and framed on an A3 photo collage print
• Children (aged 5-13) 1 winner will get their photo printed onto their very own puzzle

All photos will be judged and winners announced on Monday 24th

Multiple entries accepted. Each photo should be attached to an email and sent to tmccauley@doc.govt.nz.
