Tio Ōhiwa Oyster Farm

Welcome to Tio Ōhiwa Oyster Farm! Located in the heart of Ōhiwa Harbour. We are a Māori-owned business with a deep commitment to sustainability, community, and innovation. Established in 1968 and now in the hands of Tangata Whenua, we invite you to experience the rich legacy of oyster farming tradition.

At Tio Ōhiwa, we nurture our oysters with love, ensuring that only the finest quality molluscs make it to your plate (assuming they survive the drive home). Our journey is an incredible hikoi, where we unite people through delicious kai and fresh oysters. Alongside our oyster cultivation, we offer a range of seafood, burgers, and mouthwatering meals.

Nestled by the harbour, just 1 km south of Ōhope, you can savour your meal while overlooking the stunning Ōhiwa Harbour and observing our oysters in their natural habitat.
