Daily continuous radio watch with updated weather forecasts, tides, Whakatāne bar conditions and navigation warnings given on Channel 18 at 0800, 1200, and 1800 hrs.

Radio communications:
0800 to 1800 hours. We monitor VHF channels 16, 60, 18 and SSB 4417 KHz.
In an emergency, call VHF Channel 16 or call 111.
