We are proud to have been bringing the Eastern Bay of Plenty of quality jewellery and friendly local service for three Generations. Our story starts with Os Edwards who was a watchmaker in Matamata and moved to Whakatane in the early 1970s and opened Edwards Jewellers. He soon realised that the business was growing too quickly for him to manage, and son-in-law John Renshaw and daughter Alison joined him in the mid 1970s. Third generation daughter Hayley began working in the store in the early 2000s and began managing the store in 2005 with her husband Darryl joining as resident manufacturing jeweller in 2015.

The original Edwards Jewellers was located at the eastern end of The Strand and the business was renamed Renshaws and moved to its current location in the 1988. The business has long been known as the place to go in the Eastern Bay for quality jewellery and watch and jewellery repairs.

In 2017 a beautiful remodel of the store was completed bringing the store into a new era. But rest assured Renshaws still carries the same quality jewellery and now offer even more stunning jewellery and and even better watch repair service. With a manufacturing jeweller on site, your repairs and even remodelling can be undertaken in an excellent turnaround time. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and are prepared to go above and beyond to make your customer experience one to remember.
