Archie Ericksen-Hei, Founder of East Coast Sportfishing Charters
Born and raised on the East Coast, Arch has spent his life hunting & fishing around New Zealand. His passion or rather - obsession for game fishing keeps him out on the water, in pursuit of that dream fish. His love for the outdoors extends into his professional fields as the co-owner of an apiary/honey company and managing the farm at Maraehako Bay. With years of knowledge, he’s got the spots and some damn good stories to match.
Ellie Paige, Accommodation
Ellie, with her boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm, is the perfect complement to Archie's laid-back nature. Ellie is also an outdoors lover & avid angler. She loves nothing more than a good day out on the water. She’s your go-to for all things Bookings and Accommodation, making sure you are well looked after every step of the way.

What do you love most about the Whakatāne District?
Whakatane is an awesome little town. It is our main shopping centre. We live rurally at Maraehako Bay so we travel to Whakatane to do all of our shopping once a week or fortnight. There's so many great people and businesses in the area that always make it a good day when we come to town.
