Aquaculture

Aquaculture is poised to provide the Eastern Bay of Plenty region with major growth. Eastern Sea Farms Limited in Ōpōtiki has a resource consent for a 3800 hectare marine farm. To support servicing and processing, Ōpōtiki District Council is pursuing a project to develop the town’s harbour. Advances in these projects will open diverse business prospects.
