These holidays will be different for everyone as we will be operating under COVID-19 Level 2D restrictions. Masks will be required for those 12 years and older attending indoor activities. We will also need to maintain 2m distancing and limit the numbers attending so please be aware that you will need to book for indoor activities on (07) 306 0509.
All activities planned for these holidays may be subject to last minute cancellation so please call ahead on the day
to confirm.

Help us name as many Māori places on our map of the Whakatāne District as possible. These could include the
names of rivers/awa, hills/puke, mountains/maunga, land/whenua, events and other sites.

Mask Up!
Wednesday 6th October 10am - 12pm
Come and learn how to make yourself a quick and easy mask face covering. Express yourself with flair, bling your
new fashion accessory your way. Recommended for 8+ years, bring an adult to help. Bookings apply.
Charades
Thursday, 7 October from 10am - 12pm
Enjoy a games of charades, whakatau tinana and gentle stretching to welcome the new season and revive mind and body after winter. This is an outdoor (weather permitting) activity
Storytime
Friday, 8 October from 10-11am
Join us for stories. Recommended for ages 3-7. Bookings apply.
Star Waka: Creating and Giving
Wednesday, 13 October from 10:30am - 11:30am
The Star Waka was made by Ngā Turuturu o te Tara artists to sail through the sky amongst stars, reflecting navigation patterns over time and space. Together, the waka and the stars symbolise the universe and the binding together of ira atua (the realm of the gods) and ira tangata (the realm of humans). In the tradition of gifting your first creation, make a star to travel with Star Waka as it journeys around New Zealand, and then make another one to take home to enjoy. All ages welcome. Children under 8 years require a caregiver.
Kēmu Games
Friday, 15 October from 3pm - 4pm
Come and play some fun outdoor games on the lawn. All ages welcome. This is a weather permitting activity.
