'Pākākano' Exhibition

Pākākano explores the connection to whakapapa through the metaphor of seeds. Unfurling, regenerative, and full of potential, the seed is symbolic of change. 
In these works Tawhiao’s sculptural forms are vessels, 
holders of mataturanga, 
past and present. 
A tupuna collaboration 
between Tawhiao and Marara Maihi, these works 
cultivate regeneration and champion innovation grounded in taonga tuku iho.
