A self-guided scavenger hunt in Whakatāne, New Zealand, the Kiwi Capital of the World!  Find the ten life-like, life‑size bronze kiwi statues which wander right through the heart of Whakatāne.

Things to know before you go...

  • The walking trail is about 1.6km (approx. 1 hour return)
  • The walk starts at Te Kōputu a Te Whanga a Toi - Library and Exhibition Centre and finishes at Wairaka Centennial Park
  • There are 10 beautiful bronze kiwi to find! 
  • Keep safe near roads and always look before crossing!
