Matata Campsite

The Matatā Department of Conservation campsite offers a coastal setting with excellent fishing and swimming in a family campsite.

The camp is adjacent to Matatā wildlife refuge, a haven for wetland bird species, with walking tracks and viewing areas.

Getting there: Off Arawa Street on the beach side of Matata township, head across the causeway to the campground, 200 metres.
